As you probably know; The Richland School District will begin the 2020-21 school year in a fully online format upon the recommendation of local public health authorities.

You have registered your student's Chromebook and that it is charged and working!

Chromebook registration is now open online through Family ID! take a moment to fill out the online forms and register your student's Chromebooks.

If your student does not have a Chromebook, please contact our CMS Librarian Kathy Anderson at Kathy.Anderson@rsd.edu to arrange a time to pick one up at CMS.

If your Chromebook is not working or needs a charger, please contact RDS’s IT Department at ChromebookHelp@rsd.edu or at 967-6162.

Chromebook Insurance will be available through our district Family ID registration! Check out the district's Chromebook Coverage Policies for more detailed information on Chromebook Insurance costs and coverages.

Your student can login to their Chromebook with their district username and password. If they cannot, contact your counselor or assistant principal for help!

Your student can access their Launchpad homepage which has icons for their important learning platforms they will be using this year. Our Core 4 Learning Platforms include

CANVAS - Students will access assignments, online learning resources, and submit work

PowerSchool - For attendance and quarter/semester grades

Outlook Email - Email will be a critical communication tool for students this year!

Zoom - For live, virtual classes!

Student Class Schedules!
Student schedules have been mailed home as part of a Parent Newsletter with other information and details about the start of the school year. Be on the lookout for them soon!
Right now, parent and student PowerSchool accounts are disabled until schedules are finalized. On August 26, students and parents should be able view their schedules online through the PowerSchool icon on their Launchpad and PowerSchool app! Have them login to their Chromebooks and Launchpad home screen then . . .
- click on the PowerSchool icon
- make sure the “Term” at the top of the screen is set for 2020-21 school year
- then click on the ‘Schedule’ tab on the left hand side of the screen!
