This school year we are using a new communication tool to reach parents and guardians. ParentSquare allows families to connect with teachers and school staff, receive weather delay and crisis notifications, view school events and securely receive important student documents.
Whether you are wondering about when the first day of school is, what school supplies are needed or how to get bus route information, we have answers for you.

Eighth-grade students recently completed career interest and preference surveys, the first step in their High School and Beyond Plan. We encourage families to participate with their children as they make these important decisions for their futures.

Carmichael's staff has been working to support students' continued learning during the COVID-19 school closure. Read on for more details on how Carmichael teachers will be providing learning opportunities as well as resources to support student learning from home.
Carmichael Middle School facilities are being used to package and stage school meals being bused and delivered to select Richland neighborhoods.
If your family wishes to participate in the RSD Meal Assistance program during the COVID-19 School Closure please go to your nearest elementary school or Richland High School between 10:45 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. to receive student meals.

Your Carmichael Staff
The CMS school building will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Tuesday March 17 through Friday March 20 for students and staff to come get any supplies and personal items they may need while schools are closed through April 24.
Please remember the intent for closing schools across the state is to increase social distancing in attempts to slow the spread of COVID-19. When coming to school to pick up items please
1. Enter and exit through the main doors to the building.
2. Go straight to your lockers and retrieve your items and exit the building.
3. If you need to enter a classroom to retrieve any items (i.e. instruments from music rooms or the gym locker room) please check with the office for assistance.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact the CMS Office during our open hours this week at 967-6425.

The district has partnered with the state Department of Health to test every water fixture in some of our schools as part of ongoing efforts to have safe and healthy environments for students and staff.
