Visual Arts

Art instruction is available at all grade levels and for all abilities.

Sixth-graders learn and apply the elements and principles of art through drawing, painting, mixed media and ceramic sculpture. This is expanded on in seventh-grade through students using media such as watercolor, oil pastels, chalk and block prints to creatively solve visual challenges.

Eighth-grade students take what they have learned in previous courses and work on projects linked to art history and developed through critical thinking and careful self-evaluation.
